These Chicago chefs and restaurants are finalists for the Banchet Awards, the top local food honor
Congratulations to all of this year's Banchet Award finalists, and especially to Zubair Mohajir (Chef of the Year) and Belmont Tavern (Bar of the Year). It's been a pleasure working with both. Well deserved!
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that finalists for the 2027 Banchet Awards, Chicago's top local food honor now in its 25th year, were announced Wednesday. Nominees range from counter-service spots to fine dining, and winners will be named at a January 31 ceremony at the Harris Theater.
